Verão com Ciência 2020-07-22
Research Center for Humanistic Studies of the University of Minho (CEHUM) takes part in Verão com Ciência, an initiative promoted by FCT (Foundation for Science and Technology) in collaboration with DGES (Directorate General for Higher Education). CEHUM will offer the training course Português em contacto: Princípios e Práticas de Investigação e Formação and provide 10 scientific initiation scholarships (BIC). Organized by researchers Cristina Flores and Micaela Ramon, the initiative takes place from July 30 to October 30, 2020, and includes a wide range of thematic modules. FCT will fund 87 training initiatives (from a total of 294 applications) by 22 institutions, providing 1175 scientific initiation and research scholarships, with a global investment of €2.4M, under the Special Support “Verão com Ciência”. “Verão com Ciência” aims to stimulate the development of “Summer Schools” in Portuguese Polytechnic Institutes and Universities by creating on-site R&D and higher education integrated initiatives.
