Irene is an Assistant Researcher at the Research Center on Child Studies (CIEC), Institute of Education, University of Minho, Portugal. She holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology, and her research interests include psychometrics, psychological and educational assessment, as well as learning and developmental difficulties. Her work has focused on the development, adaptation, and validation of assessment instruments for children and adolescents, with particular emphasis on ensuring fairness and validity across diverse populations—especially in the domains of oral and written language assessment.
